How to choose the right size of your motorcycle helmet?
Sometimes it can be difficult to find the right size for your motorcycle helmet. How do I measure my head? What to consider when buying a new helmet?
It's important to choose the right size of your motorcycle helmet to make sure it protects you as well as possible in all situations.
The helmet should not be loose or slip in any direction and should never press so hard that it hurts, then it is the wrong size for you.
When you get your new helmet home, it should fit a little extra tight as all helmets form to your head after a while, but it shouldn't squeeze so much that it hurts. It should sit very firmly on your head but not in a way that hurts.
We recommend wearing your new helmet for about half an hour at home, if it sits tight and still does not hurt anywhere; Congratulations, it is the correct size!
Helmets from different brands may differ slightly in size. So always check the manufacturer's specific size on each product page.
Even full-face and open face helmets from the same brand can sometimes differ in size.
Measuring the head circumference
Helmet sizes are based on your head circumference. Use a tape measure and place it horizontally around your head at the widest part above your eyebrows. Compare this measurement to the size chart for the motorcycle helmet you are about to buy, the sizing can be found on the product page.
